When it comes to window repairs and replacements, there are some things you should know. No worries, we will help you figure out what kind of glass you need and what the law requires.
First off, ALL doors and side-lights need to be tempered -not only because of safety but also because it’s the law. If you have a door with glass that isn’t tempered it’s because it’s grandfathered in but once it breaks, you will have to replace it with tempered glass.
Any window that is floor-level must also be tempered.
Window glass is usually a quick fix that can be fixed the same day however, if it’s tempered, it will have to be ordered which will take 2-3 business days – if it’s an insulated window, orders can take 7-10 business days. If necessary, we will board it up until we get your order in and installed.
